Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 cup breadcrumbs

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Salt and pepper to taste

2 cups marinara sauce

4 hoagie rolls

1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Optional: sliced jalapeños for a spicy kick

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.

Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the meatballs until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.

In the same skillet, warm the marinara sauce and add the cooked meatballs, simmering for about 10 minutes.

Slice the hoagie rolls and place them on a baking sheet. Spoon meatballs and sauce into each roll, then top with mozzarella cheese.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Serve hot, garnished with extra parsley and jalapeños if desired.
