Ingredients

1 cup strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/3 cup cocoa powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.

In a bowl, combine melted butter and sugar and mix well until combined.

Stir in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Then add the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.

Gradually combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture until just mixed.

Fold in the sliced strawberries gently to avoid breaking them up too much.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Allow brownies to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
