Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup buttermilk

1 tablespoon hot sauce

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon paprika

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1 teaspoon cayenne pepper

Salt and pepper to taste

4 brioche or hamburger buns

Lettuce leaves

Tomato slices

Pickles

Your favorite spicy mayonnaise or sauce

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine buttermilk and hot sauce. Add chicken breasts and marinate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight in the refrigerator.

In another bowl, mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.

Remove chicken from the buttermilk mixture and let the excess drip off. Dredge the chicken in the seasoned flour until fully coated.

Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken for about 6-8 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through.

Remove the chicken and let it drain on paper towels.

Assemble the sandwiches: spread spicy mayo on the bottom bun, add lettuce, the hot chicken, tomato slices, and pickles. Cap with the top bun.

Serve hot and enjoy the spicy goodness!
