Ingredients

For the Cake:

3 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups granulated sugar

4 large eggs

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 cup buttermilk

For the Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

For the Cream Cheese Glaze:

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-cup Bundt pan thoroughly to prevent sticking.

Mix the Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and ground cinnamon. Set aside.

Cream the Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar using an electric mixer on medium speed until the mixture is light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.

Incorporate Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Gradually add the dry ingredient mixture to the creamed butter mixture in three parts, alternating with the buttermilk. Begin and end with the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to over-mix.

Prepare Cinnamon Sugar Mixture: In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon for the topping.

Layer the Batter and Topping: Pour half of the cake batter into the prepared Bundt pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the batter. Pour the remaining cake batter on top and then sprinkle the remaining cinnamon sugar over this layer.

Bake the Cake: Bake in the preheated oven for 55-65 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. If the top is browning too quickly, you can cover it loosely with aluminum foil.

Cool the Cake: Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15-20 minutes. Then, carefully invert the Bundt pan onto a wire rack to remove the cake, and let it cool completely.

Prepare the Cream Cheese Glaze: In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually mix in the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract. Adjust the consistency with more milk if needed.

Glaze the Cake: Once the cake has completely cooled, drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the top of the Bundt cake, allowing it to gently drip down the sides.

Serve and Enjoy: Slice the cake, serve, and relish in the delicious flavors of this Snickerdoodle Bundt Cake!
