Shrimp Lettuce Wraps

Ingredients
  

1 lb medium shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated

1 bell pepper, diced (red, yellow, or green)

1 carrot, julienned

1 cup water chestnuts, diced

4 green onions, chopped

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon oyster sauce

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 head of butter lettuce or iceberg lettuce, leaves separated

Optional garnish: chopped cilantro, sesame seeds, lime wedges

Instructions
 

In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil.

    Once hot, add minced garlic and grated ginger, cooking for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

      Add shrimp to the skillet, cooking until they turn opaque (about 3-4 minutes). Remove shrimp and set aside.

        In the same skillet, add diced bell pepper, julienned carrot, and water chestnuts. Stir-fry for about 3-4 minutes until slightly tender.

          Return the shrimp to the skillet and add chopped green onions, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil, stirring until everything is well combined and heated through.

            To serve, spoon the shrimp mixture into the lettuce leaves and garnish with cilantro, sesame seeds, and lime wedges if desired. Enjoy your delicious wraps!
