Ingredients

1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved

2 tablespoons olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

In a large bowl, combine the halved Brussels sprouts, olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using). Toss to coat evenly.

Spread the Brussels sprouts in a single layer on a baking sheet, cut side down.

Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and tender.

Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey (or maple syrup). Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly, about 5 minutes.

Once the Brussels sprouts are done, remove them from the oven and drizzle the balsamic glaze over them. Toss gently to combine.

Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley.
