Ingredients

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

1 teaspoon red food coloring

½ teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon salt

For the Cheesecake Swirl:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan.

In a mixing bowl, combine melted butter and sugar; mix well.

Add in eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until fully combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

Stir in the red food coloring until the batter is evenly colored.

In another bowl, blend cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared baking pan.

Spread the cheesecake mixture over the brownie batter evenly.

Spoon the remaining brownie batter on top and swirl gently with a knife for a marbled effect.

Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

Allow to cool before cutting into squares and serving.
