2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon baking powder

2 teaspoons ground ginger

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon ground cloves

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup pumpkin puree

1/4 cup molasses

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

    In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt.

      In a large bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

        Beat in pumpkin puree, molasses, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

          Gradually stir in the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.

            Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

              Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

                Allow cooling before cutting into squares or rectangles. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
