Ingredients

1 lb ground beef

1 medium onion, diced

1 green bell pepper, diced

1 cup sliced mushrooms

2 cups cooked penne pasta

2 cups shredded provolone cheese

1 cup cream of mushroom soup

½ cup sour cream

1 tsp garlic powder

1 tsp black pepper

1 tsp salt

½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.

Add the diced onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms to the skillet. Sauté until vegetables are tender, about 5-7 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, creamy soup, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until well mixed.

Add the beef and vegetable mixture to the pasta mixture, and mix until everything is evenly coated.

Spoon half of the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, then sprinkle half of the shredded provolone cheese on top. Repeat with the remaining mixture and cheese.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Allow to cool for a few minutes before garnishing with fresh parsley, and serve hot.
