Ingredients

2 cups fresh peaches, peeled and sliced

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 pound pound cake, cut into cubes

2 cups whipped cream

1 cup vanilla pudding

1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the sliced peaches, sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Toss to coat and let sit for about 20 minutes until the peaches release their juices.

In a trifle dish or bowl, start layering by adding a layer of pound cake cubes at the bottom.

Spoon half of the peach mixture over the pound cake, followed by a layer of vanilla pudding.

Add a layer of whipped cream on top of the pudding, smoothing it out evenly.

Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of whipped cream on the top.

If desired, sprinkle chopped pecans on top and garnish with mint leaves.

Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving, allowing the flavors to meld together.
