Ingredients

4 large egg whites

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon white vinegar

1 teaspoon cornstarch

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup heavy cream

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

1 teaspoon rose water

2 ripe peaches, thinly sliced

Edible rose petals for garnish

Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 250°F (120°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Make the Meringue: In a clean, dry mixing bowl, whisk the egg whites on medium speed until soft peaks form. Gradually add granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, continuing to whisk until the mixture is glossy and stiff peaks form.

Add Vinegar and Cornstarch: Gently fold the vinegar, cornstarch, and vanilla extract into the meringue mixture. This will help stabilize the meringue and give it a lovely texture.

Shape the Pavlova: Spoon the meringue onto the prepared baking sheet, creating a circle about 8 inches in diameter. Use the back of a spoon to make a slight indentation in the center, which will hold the cream and peaches.

Bake: Place the meringue in the preheated oven and bake for 1 hour. After an hour, turn off the oven and leave the pavlova inside to cool completely—this prevents it from cracking.

Prepare the Whipped Cream: While the pavlova cools, whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar and rose water until soft peaks form.

Assemble: Once the pavlova has cooled, carefully transfer it to a serving platter. Spread the whipped cream into the center of the pavlova.

Add Peaches: Arrange the sliced peaches beautifully on top of the whipped cream.

Garnish: Decorate with edible rose petals and fresh mint leaves for a romantic touch.

Serve and Enjoy: Cut into wedges and serve immediately, or chill in the fridge for up to an hour before serving.
