Ingredients

1 package (14.3 oz) Oreo cookies

1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)

1 cup powdered sugar

1 package (8 oz) cream cheese (softened)

2 cups whipped topping (such as Cool Whip)

2 cups milk

1 package (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix

Gummy worms (for decoration)

Additional Oreo crumbs (for topping)

Small flower pot (optional, for presentation)

Instructions

Crush Cookies: Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until they resemble dirt (fine crumbs). Reserve 1 cup of the crumbs for topping.

Make the Cream Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well until fully combined.

Add the Whipped Topping: Fold in the whipped topping into the cream mixture until fully incorporated and the mixture is light and fluffy.

Prepare the Pudding: In another bowl, whisk together the milk and instant chocolate pudding mix until thickened, about 2-3 minutes.

Combine Mixtures: Gently fold the chocolate pudding into the cream cheese mixture until well combined and smooth.

Layer the Cake: In a large bowl, or flower pot, layer half of the cookie crumbs, half of the cream mixture, and then repeat the layers once more. Top the cake with reserved Oreo crumbs for a ‘dirt’ effect.

Decorate: Insert gummy worms into the ‘dirt’ for a fun touch. Optionally, you can place the cake in a flower pot for a whimsical presentation.

Chill: Refrigerate the dirt cake for at least 4 hours, or overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and to help it set.

Serve & Enjoy: Scoop out servings of the dirt cake and enjoy this delicious, fun dessert with friends and family!
