Ingredients

For the Cake:

2 cups all-purpose flour

2 cups granulated sugar

1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

4 large eggs

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

For the Cream Cheese Glaze:

4 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2-3 tablespoons milk (to achieve desired consistency)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Prepare the Cake Batter: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.

Make the Cinnamon Swirl: In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and softened butter until well combined. It should have a crumbly texture.

Layer the Cake: Pour half of the cake batter into the greased baking dish, using a spatula to spread it evenly. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon swirl mixture over the batter. Pour the remaining cake batter on top, and then top with the rest of the cinnamon swirl mixture, using a knife to swirl it gently into the batter.

Bake: Place the cake in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Prepare the Cream Cheese Glaze: While the cake is baking, beat the softened cream cheese and butter together until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar and vanilla, mixing well. Add milk, a tablespoon at a time, until you reach your desired glaze consistency.

Cool and Glaze: Once the cake is baked, let it cool in the pan for about 10-15 minutes. Drizzle the cream cheese glaze over the warm cake before serving.

Serve: Slice the cake and enjoy the ooey gooey goodness! You can serve it warm or at room temperature.
