Ingredients

1 pound ground beef (or turkey)

1 medium onion, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup uncooked orzo pasta

2 cups beef broth

1 cup diced tomatoes (canned or fresh)

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 teaspoon dried Italian herbs (oregano, basil, thyme)

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup ketchup

1/4 cup mustard

1/4 cup dill pickles, diced (optional, for garnish)

Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

In a large skillet, over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon, about 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.

Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is soft and translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Stir in the uncooked orzo, beef broth, diced tomatoes, Worcestershire sauce, dried Italian herbs, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low. Cover the skillet and simmer for about 10-12 minutes, or until the orzo is tender and most of the liquid has been absorbed. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

Once the orzo is cooked, remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, ketchup, and mustard until everything is well combined and the cheese is melted.

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. If desired, top with diced pickles and chopped parsley before serving.
