Ingredients
  

1 cup water

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

4 large eggs

1 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Chocolate glaze (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

    In a saucepan, combine water and butter. Bring to a simmer until the butter melts completely.

      Add the flour and salt to the saucepan. Stir vigorously over low heat until the mixture forms a ball and pulls away from the sides of the pan.

        Remove from heat and let it cool slightly. Beat in eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition until the dough is smooth and glossy.

          Use a pastry bag or spoon to drop mounds of dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

            Bake for 20-25 minutes or until puffs are golden brown. Do not open the oven door during baking!

              Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack.

                For the filling, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until soft peaks form.

                  Once the puffs are cool, cut a small opening on the bottom, and pipe the whipped cream inside.

                    Drizzle with chocolate glaze if desired, and enjoy your delicious cream puffs!
