Ingredients
  

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

2 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup milk

1/3 cup vegetable oil

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup packed brown sugar

1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (for topping)

1 3/4 cups boiling water

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch square baking dish.

    In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and 1/2 cup cocoa powder. Mix well.

      Stir in the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.

        In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar and 1/4 cup cocoa powder. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the cake batter.

          Carefully pour the boiling water over the top of the cake mixture. Do not stir.

            Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the top is set and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.

              Let the cake cool for a few minutes, serve warm, and enjoy the gooey fudge sauce underneath!
