1 lb ground beef

2 cups broccoli florets

1 medium onion, finely chopped

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce (low sodium preferred)

1 tablespoon cornstarch

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Cooked jasmine rice (for serving)

Instructions
 

Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and cornstarch until well combined. Set aside.

    Stir-fry the broccoli: In a large skillet or wok, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the broccoli florets and sauté for about 3-4 minutes until they turn bright green and are tender-crisp. Remove them from the pan and set aside.

      Cook the ground beef: In the same skillet, add ground beef and onion, breaking it apart with a spatula. Cook until the beef is browned and fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.

        Add garlic and seasoning: Stir in minced garlic and crushed red pepper flakes (if using), and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

          Combine everything: Return the broccoli to the skillet, then pour the honey soy sauce mixture over the beef and broccoli. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens and coats the beef and broccoli.

            Finish with sesame oil: Drizzle sesame oil over the mixture and give it a final stir. Remove from heat.

              Serve: Serve the Honey Garlic Ground Beef and Broccoli over cooked jasmine rice. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
