Ingredients

4 bone-in pork chops (about 1-inch thick)

Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 cup honey

1/4 cup soy sauce

2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

1 pound of seasonal roasted vegetables (e.g., carrots, broccoli, bell peppers)

2 cups cooked rice or mashed potatoes (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Pork Chops: Pat the pork chops dry with paper towels. Season both sides generously with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Make the Honey Garlic Glaze: In a small saucepan over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned. Stir in the honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, grated ginger, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-5 minutes until slightly thickened. Set aside.

Sear the Pork Chops: In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the seasoned pork chops. Sear them for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they are beautifully golden-brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 145°F/63°C). Remove from the skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.

Glaze the Pork Chops: Pour the honey garlic glaze over the pork chops in the skillet. Allow them to simmer for an additional minute, flipping the chops to coat them evenly in the sauce until sticky and caramelized.

Roast the Seasonal Vegetables: In another baking sheet, toss the seasonal vegetables with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Roast in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for 25 minutes or until tender and slightly charred.

Plate and Serve: Serve the honey garlic glazed pork chops over a bed of rice or with a side of creamy mashed potatoes. Add a generous portion of roasted vegetables. Drizzle any remaining glaze from the pan over the top and garnish with freshly chopped parsley.

Enjoy: Invite your guests to the table, share the joy of delicious food, and impress them with your gourmet dinner party dish!
