Ingredients
  

1 loaf of bread, cubed

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1 cup onion, diced

1 cup celery, diced

2 cups chicken broth

1 teaspoon dried sage

1 teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

Optional: 1 cup cooked sausage or nuts for added flavor

Instructions
 

Preheat your stovetop sauté pan over medium heat.

    Melt butter and add diced onion and celery, sauté until tender.

      Stir in herbs (sage and thyme), and season with salt and pepper.

        Add cubed bread to the pan, mixing well.

          Pour chicken broth over the bread mixture, stirring until well combined.

            Cook until the mixture is heated through and the bread has absorbed the broth, about 5-7 minutes.

              Optional: Mix in sausage or nuts for extra flavor and texture.

                Serve warm as a delicious side dish!
