Ingredients

2 cups raw almonds

1-2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)

1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)

1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for creaminess)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Spread the almonds on a baking sheet and roast for 10-12 minutes until fragrant. Let them cool slightly.

Transfer the roasted almonds to your blender or food processor.

Blend on high speed until the almonds break down into a fine meal.

Stop occasionally to scrape down the sides of the blender.

Continue blending until the almond meal becomes creamy, this may take about 10 minutes.

Optional: If you'd like your almond butter sweeter, add honey or maple syrup.

Add salt and coconut oil (if using), then blend again until combined.

Taste and adjust sweetness or saltiness according to preference.

Transfer the almond butter to a glass jar and store in the refrigerator.
