Ingredients
  

3 ripe bananas

1/3 cup melted coconut oil

1/2 cup honey or maple syrup

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour

1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Dark chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

    In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.

      Stir in the melted coconut oil, honey or maple syrup, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.

        In a separate bowl, whisk together the baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and whole wheat flour.

          Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

            Fold in walnuts or pecans and dark chocolate chips if desired.

              Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.

                Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

                  Allow the banana bread to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
