Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon butter

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

Salt and pepper to taste

2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Fresh cilantro (for garnish)

Cooked rice or noodles (for serving)

Instructions

Prepare the Shrimp: Rinse the shrimp under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. Season lightly with salt and pepper.

Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, lemon juice, and crushed red pepper flakes. Set aside.

Cook the Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and butter. Once the butter has melted, add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.

Add the Shrimp: Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp to the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink.

Combine: Pour the sauce over the shrimp and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally until the shrimp are cooked through and coated with the sauce.

Serve: Remove from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and cilantro. Serve over rice or noodles.
