Ingredients

1 pound of cremini or portobello mushrooms

4 cloves of garlic, minced

¼ cup olive oil

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar

1 teaspoon dried oregano

Salt and pepper to taste

Skewers (wooden or metal)

Instructions

Prep the Mushrooms: Clean the mushrooms with a damp cloth and remove the stems if using portobello mushrooms.

Make the Marinade: In a bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, oregano, salt, and pepper.

Marinate the Mushrooms: Add the mushrooms to the marinade, tossing to coat. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes for the best flavor.

Prepare the Skewers: Thread the marinated mushrooms onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each for even grilling.

Preheat the Grill: Heat your grill to medium-high heat.

Grill the Skewers: Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and slightly charred.

Serve: Remove the skewers from the grill and serve warm as a delicious appetizer or side dish.
