Ingredients
  

1 pound fresh green beans, trimmed

2 tablespoons butter

1/4 cup sliced almonds

2 cloves garlic, minced

Salt and pepper, to taste

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions
 

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the green beans and blanch for 3-4 minutes until bright green and crisp-tender.

    Drain the beans and immediately plunge them into a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking process.

      In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the sliced almonds and sauté until they are golden brown, about 3-5 minutes.

        Stir in the minced garlic and sauté for an additional 1 minute, until fragrant.

          Drain the green beans and add them to the skillet. Toss to coat in the butter and almonds.

            Season with salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Add the lemon zest for extra flavor.
