Ingredients

8 slices of bread (white or whole wheat)

1 cup cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 egg

1 cup milk

1 cup breadcrumbs

Oil for frying

Whipped cream (for serving, optional)

Fresh mint leaves (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.

Stir in the vanilla extract and fold in the sliced strawberries delicately.

Spread a generous layer of the strawberry cheesecake filling on one slice of bread, and top with another slice to create a sandwich. Repeat for all slices.

In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg and milk together.

Dip each sandwich into the egg mixture, ensuring it's fully coated.

Roll the soaked sandwiches in breadcrumbs, pressing lightly so they adhere.

Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, fry each sandwich until golden brown on both sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels.

Serve warm, topped with whipped cream and garnished with fresh mint leaves if desired.
