1 sheet of puff pastry (thawed)

8 oz cream cheese (softened)

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup fresh strawberries (chopped)

1 egg (beaten for egg wash)

Additional powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and cut it into squares (about 4x4 inches).

      In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.

        Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.

          Top the cream cheese mixture with a few pieces of chopped strawberries.

            Fold the pastry corners toward the center and pinch to seal.

              Brush the tops of the pastries with the beaten egg for a golden finish.

                Place the pastries on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

                  Allow to cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar and serving.
