Ingredients

6 large croissants, torn into pieces

6 large eggs

2 cups milk

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup maple syrup (for serving)

Powdered sugar (optional, for serving)

Fresh berries (optional, for serving)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

Gently fold in the croissant pieces, ensuring they are evenly coated in the egg mixture.

Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it out evenly.

Cover the dish with aluminum foil and let it rest for 30 minutes, allowing the croissants to soak up the liquid.

Remove the foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is puffed and golden brown.

Let it cool for a few minutes before serving. Drizzle with maple syrup, and dust with powdered sugar and fresh berries if desired.
