Ingredients
  

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed

1/4 cup powdered sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup almond flour

1 egg yolk

2 tablespoons cold water

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup sliced almonds

Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions
 

In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, powdered sugar, and salt.

    Add the chilled cubed butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

      Stir in the almond flour, egg yolk, cold water, and vanilla extract until the dough forms a ball.

        Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

          Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

            Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to about 1/8 inch thickness.

              Cut the dough into desired shapes or circles.

                Place the shapes on a parchment-lined baking sheet and sprinkle with sliced almonds.

                  Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.

                    Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired.
