Ingredients

1 can of refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 can (10 oz) of Rotel diced tomatoes and green chilies, drained

1 cup of shredded cheese (cheddar or Mexican blend)

1/2 pound of cooked sausage or ground beef (optional)

1 tsp of garlic powder

1 tsp of onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a mixing bowl, combine the drained Rotel tomatoes, shredded cheese, cooked sausage or ground beef (if using), garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.

Unroll the can of crescent roll dough on a clean surface and separate it into triangles.

Spoon a generous amount of the Rotel mixture onto the wide end of each triangle.

Starting from the wide end, roll each triangle tightly towards the point.

Place the rolled crescent rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired before serving.
