2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Salt and pepper, to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup chicken broth

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

2 cups fresh spinach, washed and roughly chopped

½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon lemon juice

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Season the Chicken: Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels and season both sides generously with salt and pepper.

    Cook the Chicken: In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.

      Make the Garlic Sauce: In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds, until fragrant. Be careful not to burn it.

        Add Liquids: Pour in the heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Add the Italian seasoning and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

          Incorporate Spinach and Cheese: Stir in the fresh spinach, letting it wilt down for about 2 minutes. Then, add the grated Parmesan cheese and lemon juice, stirring until well incorporated and the sauce is creamy.

            Combine Chicken and Sauce: Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, allowing it to soak in the flavors of the sauce for another 2-3 minutes. Check for seasoning; add more salt and pepper if desired.
