Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 cup apple cider

1 cup heavy cream

1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese

6 slices of prosciutto

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon fresh thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.

Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet. Cook until browned, about 5 minutes on each side.

Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, pour in the apple cider and bring it to a simmer.

Stir in the heavy cream and fresh thyme. Let the sauce thicken for about 5 minutes.

Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning the sauce over each piece.

Top each chicken breast with crispy prosciutto and sprinkle Gruyere cheese on top.

Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake until the chicken is cooked through, about 20-25 minutes.

Once cooked, garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
