Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup whole milk

2 large eggs

1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon salt

Frosting of your choice (vanilla buttercream recommended)

Sprinkles or edible decorations (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake tin with paper liners.

In a mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.

Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.

Divide the batter evenly into the prepared cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.

Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.

Once cooled, frost your cupcakes with your favorite frosting and add sprinkles or decorations as desired.
