Ingredients

1 pie crust, homemade or store-bought

1 can (15 oz) pumpkin puree

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground ginger

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/4 teaspoon ground allspice

3 large eggs

1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk

Whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).

Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie pan. Trim and crimp the edges.

In a large bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, salt, and spices; mix well.

Add the eggs and whisk until smooth.

Gradually stir in the evaporated milk until fully incorporated.

Pour the filling into the prepared pie crust.

Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for an additional 40-50 minutes, or until the filling is set and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Allow to cool before serving. Top with whipped cream if desired.
