1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup buttermilk

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

1 tablespoon granulated sugar (for topping)

Powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan with non-stick spray or butter and set aside.

    Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, 1 teaspoon of cinnamon, and salt until well combined.

      Mix Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix the melted butter, buttermilk, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.

        Combine Mixtures: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Gently fold the mixture until just combined; do not overmix. The batter should be thick but moist.

          Prepare Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, mix together brown sugar, the remaining 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar.

            Layer the Batter: Pour half of the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle half of the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over the batter. Pour the remaining batter on top and finish with the rest of the cinnamon sugar mixture.
