Ingredients

1 box chocolate cake mix

1 cup creamy peanut butter

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1 cup chocolate syrup

1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping

1/2 cup chopped peanuts (optional)

Chocolate shavings or sprinkles for decoration (optional)

Instructions

Bake the Cake: Prepare the chocolate cake according to package instructions. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch pan and bake as directed. Allow the cake to cool completely.

Poke the Cake: Once cooled, use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes throughout the cake, about 1 inch apart.

Prepare the Filling: In a bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter with the sweetened condensed milk until smooth. Pour the mixture evenly over the poked cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes.

Add Chocolate Syrup: Drizzle the chocolate syrup over the peanut butter filling, allowing it to cover the top of the cake beautifully.

Top with Whipped Topping: Spread the whipped topping over the entire cake, smoothing it out with a spatula.

Garnish: If desired, sprinkle chopped peanuts and chocolate shavings or sprinkles on top for an extra touch.

Chill and Serve: Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld together. Cut into squares and serve.
