Ingredients

1 unbaked pie crust (store-bought or homemade)

1 cup pecan halves

3 large eggs

1 cup light corn syrup

1 cup granulated sugar

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

¼ cup bourbon

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ teaspoon salt

Optional: whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for serving

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Place the unbaked pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs until beaten.

Add the corn syrup, granulated sugar, melted butter, bourbon, vanilla extract, and salt to the eggs. Mix until well combined.

Stir in the pecan halves, ensuring they are evenly distributed in the filling mixture.

Pour the pecan filling into the prepared pie crust, spreading the pecans evenly throughout.

Bake in the preheated oven for 60 to 70 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown. If the edges of the crust start to brown too quickly, cover them with foil.

Once baked, remove from the oven and allow to cool for at least 2 hours before slicing.

Serve warm or at room temperature, optionally topped with whipped cream or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
