Ingredients
  

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

1 tablespoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup whole milk

3 large eggs

1 tablespoon dried culinary lavender (crushed)

1 cup fresh blackberries

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup powdered sugar (for dusting, optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

    In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.

      Add softened butter, whole milk, eggs, crushed lavender, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients; mix until well combined and smooth.

        Gently fold in the fresh blackberries.

          Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it evenly.

            Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

              Allow the cake to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
