Ingredients

3 ripe bananas, sliced

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup butter, melted

1 cup all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

In a 9-inch round cake pan, combine melted butter and brown sugar. Stir until well mixed.

Arrange the sliced bananas evenly over the brown sugar mixture in the pan.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

In another bowl, cream together granulated sugar and egg until light and fluffy.

Stir in milk and vanilla extract into the egg mixture.

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined.

Pour the batter gently over the bananas in the prepared pan.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
