Ingredients
  

1 lb ground beef or lamb

1 cup diced onions

1 cup diced carrots

1 cup frozen peas

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp tomato paste

1 cup beef broth

1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

2 lbs potatoes (for mashing)

½ cup milk

4 tbsp butter

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh rosemary or thyme (for garnish)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

    Cook the ground meat in a large skillet over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.

      Add onions, carrots, and garlic to the meat. Sauté until the vegetables are tender.

        Stir in the tomato paste, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, peas, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.

          Meanwhile, boil the peeled and chopped potatoes in salted water until tender. Drain.

            Mash the potatoes with milk, butter, salt, and pepper until creamy.

              Layer the meat mixture in a baking dish and top it with the mashed potatoes, smoothing it out evenly.

                Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

                  Garnish with fresh rosemary or thyme before serving.
