Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

½ teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon nutmeg

½ cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

¾ cup milk

2 tablespoons melted butter

1 cup diced apples (peeled and cored)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Vanilla Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar.

In another bowl, whisk the egg, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract.

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing until combined; do not overmix.

Gently fold in the diced apples until evenly distributed.

Drop spoonfuls of the batter onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.

Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.

While the fritters are baking, prepare the vanilla glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.

Once the fritters are done, let them cool for a few minutes, then drizzle with the vanilla glaze before serving.
