2 slices of crispy sourdough bread

1 ripe avocado, sliced

4 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced

1 medium ripe tomato, sliced

2 tablespoons fresh basil leaves, torn (optional)

1 tablespoon olive oil or butter

Salt and pepper to taste

Balsamic glaze for drizzling (optional)

Prepare the Ingredients: Slice the avocado, fresh mozzarella cheese, and tomato. Tear the basil leaves into smaller pieces (if using). Lay everything out for easy access.

    Assemble the Sandwich: On one slice of sourdough bread, layer the sliced mozzarella cheese evenly, followed by the avocado slices, tomato slices, and basil leaves. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Top with the second slice of sourdough.
