1 cup sugar (for caramel)

1/4 cup water (for caramel)

1 cup milk

1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

Prepare Caramel: In a saucepan, combine sugar and water over medium heat. Stir until the sugar dissolves, then let it boil without stirring until it turns golden brown. Quickly pour the caramel into the bottom of a muffin tin, coating each cup.

    Mix Flan Ingredients: In a blender, combine the milk, sweetened condensed milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.

      Combine Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.

        Mix Muffin Batter: Add the melted butter to the dry ingredients, then pour in the flan mixture. Stir gently until just combined.

          Pour Batter: Carefully pour the batter over the caramel in each muffin cup.

            Bake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for about 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

              Cool: Let them cool for a few minutes before flipping the muffin tin to release the flans.
