2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp cinnamon

1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)

2 eggs

1 cup peeled diced apples

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)

5 cups sliced apples

1 cup brown sugar

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup flour

1/2 cup butter (softened)

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 tsp nutmeg

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).

    In a large bowl, mix sliced apples, sugar, lemon juice, cinnamon, nutmeg, and flour until well combined.

      Roll out your pie crust and place it in a pie dish.

        Fill the crust with the apple mixture, and dot with butter.

          Cover with a second crust, seal the edges, and cut slits for steam to escape.

            Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, then reduce the temperature to 350°F (175°C) and bake for an additional 30-35 minutes, or until apples are tender and crust is golden.
